Founder Friday Book Review: Leaders Eat Last
By Rachel Robinson, M.S. CCC-SLP
One of my favorite books as a founder is Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek. For those of you unfamiliar with the book, the takeaway is that when you put your employee’s needs before your own, your company will thrive. It is this approach I will, and have always chosen, to take.
The corner offices are reserved for my team. I will never take a raise before my people get theirs. I will take out the trash before any of them do.
Because they keep the company mission alive and moving forward. I don’t hire “yes [wo]men,” and I will never be too busy to meet with anyone in our organization.
There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful and grateful for the people within this organization.
Because of that, I am so happy to say that I will always “eat” last.
